 In business, Stephen spent his career working with forensic evidence and criminal investigations.  The true story you are about to read is only one Dawson could write. Stephen Mihalik is an individual with a rich and diverse background. As a husband, father, brother, son, uncle, neighbor, and friend, Dawson has touched many lives with his compassion and integrity. His experiences range from being a hunter, fisherman, and veteran to a guitarist, successful businessman, retired police officer, Mayor and Ordained Minister.

Stephen’s adult life has been devoted to building a meaningful legacy for his children, guided by his strong values and unconditional love. Central to his life is his deep commitment to Jesus Christ, with a focus on studying and applying God’s word.

Though not listed as authors, Stephen’s wife, Darla and daughter Rebeka, both played a crucial role in bringing this book to life with their countless hours researching and editing.  While Darla compared the documentation to what was written for accuracy and Rebka was driven by her own knowledge of social services and is an advocate for suicide awareness and the “Power of the Pause,” where she finds strength in hearing the voice of the Lord.
